Anina Brisolla

Anina Brisolla is a visual artist based in Berlin and the Oderbruch. Her works are multi-layered explorations of the revolutionary changes in the present caused by phenomena such as digitality. Her most recent series of works function formally as drawings, sculptures and even installations.
Made by hand with a 3D pen, they conceptually unite the antagonism inherent in a world that on the one hand seems to exist only in digital space, but is also always realized in real, existing materialism.
Constructions reminiscent of engineering art, but highly unstable in their statics and radiating a fragility that contradicts that of their models.
Anina Brisolla studied visual arts at AKI in the Netherlands and at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
She recently had solo shows at Kanya & Kage, SMAC und Blake & Vargas in Berlin and
took part in group exhibitions as the Skulpturentriennale Bingen, the Yuan Art Museum, Chongqing, China, Neuer Kunstverein Aschaffenburg, the Centre for Contemporary Arts in Glasgow and at Kunsthalle Exnergasse in Vienna among others.
