Born in 1999, Julien Sitruk lives and works in Paris and Berlin. The self-taught artist began painting at the age of 9 and was the subject of a laudatory article in AZART magazine at the age of 12. Moving through Berlin, Monaco, Kiev and now Berlin, he had his first exhibition when he was only 13 years old. Sitruk found his way into artistic expression through painting first, later also through photography, video and sound.

Supported by Diane Pernet since he was 16, the artist‘s work was exhibited at the Centre Pomidou during the ASVOFF International Fashion Film Festival. Sitruk‘s paintings are followed by many collectors in France and the United States and he has been represented by several European galleries.

He is inspired by great figures of the 70s, 80s and 90s, like Lou Reed, David Bowie, Robert Mappplethorpe, Nico, Iggy Pop, Daniel Darc, David Sylvian, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Rick Owens, Julian Schnabel, Rowland S. Howard, Nick Cave and the film makers Pier Paolo Pasolini, Gaspard Noé, Kenneth Anger and Abel Ferrara. He also collaborates with current personalities from the underground of Parisian nightlife: Delaney Blue (George Betzounis), Béatrice Dalle, Diane Pernet and Philippe Pascal, UBIK, Raphael Haroche. Julien Sitruk also collaborates with fashion brands.
